Mark MacDonald first picked up a guitar at the age of 8 and over the past 17 years has become a talented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and prolific songwriter. Beyond honing his musical skills, Mark spent several years earning a Creative Writing degree from the University of Ottawa while studying under the critically acclaimed Canadian poetry legend Seymour Mayne,
Mark uses his vast musical knowledge and intricate understanding of written word to create passionate arrangements and densely layered lyrics in his projects.
Mark MacDonald got his start in early 2016 when he began working at the world famous Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton as a recording engineer. Spare time that is not being used helping to bring the projects of talented musicians to life is spent preparing and recording his first EP, which is planned to be released early 2017.
Previous appearances include performing alongside Jessica Anbara at the Ottawa Lebanese Festival while opening for Karl Wolf, and regular performances at Café Nostalgica on the University of Ottawa campus.
